Naval Victualling Ordinance and other Stores taken at
present from the Dock Yards, the ordinance Repositories
the Victualling Stores and from Ships of
War of every description including Copper Bolts
Nails Spikes and all Metals – £ 120,000
2od To the Founders of Brass and other Metals, to the
Manufacturers of every sort into Goods who have
Founderies, Workshops, Warehouses, and other Repositories
where Metal (made up or not) are exposed
to Journeymen Apprentices Workmen and others
having access to these Depots particularly in London
including Iron, Lead, Brass, Copper Solder, Pewter,
Intannegge and other Metals – £ 300,000
3o To private Families of opulence or in easy circumstances
in the Houses Out Houses Yards Stables Coach
Houses and in other Repositories by means of
Servants Labourers Dustmen Chimney Sweepers
Itinerout Jews and wandering Beggars lurking
about Coach Houses Stables Areas of dwelling Houses
&c for the purpose of filtering in a little way but where
the aggregate of the whole is collected the amount is
very great for the depredation extends from a Glass
Bottle on a Brass Candlestick to the richest Article
without the chance of immediate detection – £ 150,000
4 To Ale House Keepers and Publicans in London and
4 Miles round in the lots of Pewter Pots alone which
is estimated after many very minute enquiries at £11
each Publican and reckoning which is within the
number 6000 Publicans in London and 4 Miles round
at £11 each is £66000 – £ 50,000
