If the Inspector shall find or have reason to suspect that the
Person offering such for Sale came not lawfully by the Property
he shall send or cause him to be Lodg'd in Jail and immediately
send to the Inspector, where the said Seller says he belongs which
Inspector shall return and account of the Said Sellers residence
and of of the lawfulness of the property offered for Sale.

8.th That every Horse Dealer who attends Fairs & to buy Horses &c shall
carry a Certificate with him signed by the Minister Churchwarden
&c of the Parish where he resides which Certificate he shall produce
at the Place of Sale if required

9 That the Inspector of every Parish shall be supplied with
an Alphabetical List of Horse Dealers &c their Residence &c
throughout England Wales and Scotland from the Offices in
London and the different County Towns throughout the aforesaid
Kingdoms for the purpose of Reference to discover Frauds or
false Certificates, &c.

10 Any Person producing a false Certificate shall be fined £
or imprisoned or if counterfeited they shall be prosecuted for Forgery

11 That the inspector shall receive the sum of £ for every Horse that shall
Duty C. be sold in his Parish whether by Public Sale or Private Contract
for the use of His Majesty over and above the sum specified in Article 4.

12 That the Inspector of every Parish shall at all Stated Times
produce his Books and pay into the Office belonging to the County
in which he is resident the Monies he has freceived for registering
Horses &c for the use of his Majesty.

13 The inspector neglecting, omitting, or refusing to insert
such or any of the aforesaid particulars (see §.4) shall be fined
the Sum of £ or imprisoned

14 Any Person or Persons who shall sell at any Place &c any
Horse &c (unless at a Public Sale Fair Market &c) shall send the
Horse &c to the Inspector who shall take the minute particulars, (as §.4)

15 That the Office in every County Town &c shall make their
returns Monthly to the Office in London and pay the Money they
have received for the use of his Majesty.
