The strength of the connection by in the way of
causality has been common between between things in their nature themselves so disparate as music and virtue,

it. In Poetry it the farce of he connection has indeed been exaggerated, as if
it were inseparable: for without exaggeration⊞ ⊞ that as falshood falsification in a certain form, there can
scarce be Poetry. But here the exaggeration has to at least a platform

The man who has not music in his soul
Is fit for treasons stratagems and spoils
on quality of a universal proposition, the sort of
proposition of which it wears the form, is happily
not true. But what is true is, that the more occupied
a man's mind is with music and with those
the sentiments of with which music is most want accustomed to be the
vehicle accompanied⊞ ⊞ (to say nothing of those with which it might be accompanied, especially in a place like that in question) is so much the less exposed to the temptation
of engaging in any such pernicious destructive enterprizes.
