Science would
pay in the way of inspection for the assistance
it received.
So many classes of
scientific and intelligent
men as
had an interest in
the copiousness & accuracy of
the information
brought to view, so
many persons
embroiled in watching
over the conduct
of the persons
from whom the information
comes.
The Royal Society
thinks it worth
while to include
in its publication
the meteorological
format of a single
spot. What if
similar Journals were
to appear with
equal regularity
from 250 up
to 500 spots
equally distributed
over the
whole
of the Land?
This branch of
science might
thus acquire a
degree of importance
beyond conference
greater
than what it is suspected
to be possessed at present.
