The number of friendly societys filed and allowed by the magistrates
in session amounts to 144 and as to the average number of persons in
each society taken from the whole we know not as it has never been ordered
or deemed necessary to be done.
As I observe on the direction of your favor the same was addressed
to Wm Lawson Esqr. Greys Inn. I take the liberty of mentioning my
name is my sons (who is my deputy) Charles John and as it
may be of use in your office for the returning of recognizances or other
matters have inclosed two of our tickets. I remain
