III. Third is Fourth tranch division exposed pecuniary
burthen resulting from delinquency – pecuniary
mischief resulting immediately from the offence.
The amount of this burthen throughout the
country for a given period will of course depend
partly upon the number of offences against of the
class in question
property committed during that period,
partly upon the quantum of the burthen or
for pecuniary damage produced by each offence.
With respect to both these heads of information
Your Committee are altogether in
the dark. They In these offences of information they be nothing in that should
render it incapable of being brought into
evidence. They will even venture presently
to point out the means. But nothing at all
under this head is at present with their
reach.
