it was at all the right most
suitable remedy. But he would ask how
the house could come to any determination
upon the miserable information
to be found in this Report? How could
they form any decided opinion without
an inquiry which to bring the whole
matter before them? They were to have
a bill, it was said, from the house
but of Lords – but how as it possible
that the erits of the proposed plan
could be fairly investigated just at
the close of the session – when the
time was so short and when perhaps
there would not be fifty members
in town to pay any attention to it?
The right hon. Gent. had also assigned
the increase of the opulence of the
country – and of the property in the Court
of Chancery as the cause of the delay.

as much time to decide upon a
