Prospectus of the Universalist1

Prospectus of a Morning Daily Paper, proposed to
be instituted set up edited under the name of The Universalist

By the name thus employed some intimation is will be already
be seen conveyed of of the distinctive character of the nature which will
be found associated with that name: a nature by which the
Universalist will be seen to stand distinguished from, and it will be
seen whether he is not warranted in there is any impropriety in saying above, all
Newspapers Editors that which have as yet have appeared or are likely
ever to appear: Universal are the sources of from which the information
which it the Universalist will communicate will conveyed will be seen to be derived: the
extent of the ground have out of which they will be seen to flow having no
other limits than those of the civilized part of the population portion
inhabited part
of the globe: universal accordingly the extent of the ground
to which he looks to communicate over which in return the information
number of spots to
over which in return he it looks to convey diffuse
spread whatsoever is most valuable in the information so received,
ample and varied in a degree beyond any in which
at its appearance it will be seen equalled, or likely soon
to be: correspondent accordingly the preeminence to which it
aspires: giving as it will be seen to do to its all readers so much
more than they would otherwise receive.

Thus So doing it will fill up a gap which still remains
in the world field of letters.
