Prospectus of the Universalist(11)
Commercial information – information interesting in a peculiar
degree to commercial men as such: to commercial men in
every country in whatever branch of trade concerned – the
home trade or the foreign trade – and whether in the way
of manufacture or in the way of interchange.
Correctness, earliness and particularly or say
detailedness – these are the principal qualities of the information
looked for by the Commercial man in those of his several
shapes, and those qualities he will find in the information
communicated by the Universalist.
