Prospectus of the UniversalistInserenda

☞ Quere whether to insert this page?

To involve in confusion the matter they have to deal
with, and thus make their escape from head out of sight the greatest happiness
principle, the aristocrats are now receiving a trick which
was invented in that their by their predecessors elsewhere:
a trick of Rome-bred Constitutional law. This taken in hand
the whole population of the country, that derided it divided it into
classes, that is their word of them Classes (suppose) here means take in
of the means of happiness of those in equal quantity given to every class of
the half dozen , has or it extent equality: this you
have equals: for equality is equals,
of the English by

classes: that is their word. Number of those same classes
suppose six. Means of happiness whatsoever it be that they consist of:
whether it be money, or moneys worth in any other shape –
power for example. Money is the shape in which shares
are not easily understood plainly intelligible. To each class you give the
same number of pounds: but into one class you put
number of persons as different as your purpose
calls for, a million, a a thousand, a hundred, a
score, or to cram all one by itself out. There
you have equ aristocratical equality: yes and monarchial
equality into the bargain. Having equality, there you have
also
you have equity: for equality is equity say the
Equity lawyers. Then you have not only aristocratical and
equity, but aristocratical and impartiality
and aristocratical and justice as carved out and shared out spread by Edinburgh Review There you see there you have what
and give out whatever is most amiable and most desirable.
All this will be incontestably true, the moment a
fraction is equal to the whole.
