Memoir of Suyot by Dupont de Nemours

"None None of the objections of a free trade in corn remained
unendeavoured in the letters of Suyot: none none of the aspects under
whh. that trade cd be viewed was neglected. The abbe 'Tencey read
these letters, admired these, praised highly the knowledge, the taunt,
the courage of the author, to every person to whom he had 'occasion
to speak of them, and destroyed the Free trade in corn.

The average pri amount of property possessed by
each fundholder would be is £2595 but nearly
one half of these possess less than £500; and more
than eight-tenths four-fifths of them possess less than
£2500, or £100 per annum
