he believes to be justice it will suit him in
every respect to take the
Taking the Judges for a mans confident
instead of an Attorney will answer the
purpose of some men, but it w There are
some men whose purpose it will answer: there
are others whose purpose it will not answer will not be answered.
It will answer the purpose of that man who
requires nothing more else than what he believes
to be justice. It will not answer the purpose
of him who means to have get what is to be had got,
or to keep what is to be kept, according or not
according to justice.
In penal matters It will answer the purpose of that pursuer
who means believing the defendant guilty
desires that he should be punished in case he
turns out to be so, and punished with a
punishment proportioned to his guilt. It will
answer the purpose of that defendant, who
knowing himself not to be guilty desires to see
display'd in their true light and no other, the proofs
circumstances
