of proceeding against them, whether in revenue or judicial matters,
shall be as stated in the following Regulations:

That the Commercial Residents shall, at the time of registering
the Company's Weavers as directed in article fourteenth,
take an account of their engagements with the Zemindars &c.
on account of revenue. A similar account is to be deliver'd
by the Zemindar or Farmer of his claims on the Weavers
&c to the Collector, and on complaint against manufacturers,
Gormartahs, Moherrirs, Dellols, Peons, and other Persons
belonging to the Factories, employed in the transportation
of the Company's investment. For non payment of revenue,
the Collector or Farmer shall first state his Claim in
writing to the Commercial Resident, who, if the Weavers
be then actually employed by the Company shall satisfy
the real Debt, and stop it by Kistbundy from the
Weavers balance or future advance, without interruption
of his labour on the public investment. If refused to
be so adjusted, the Collector on application, shall issue
his summons of the party and send it to be served through
the Commercial Resident, who shall cause him, to appear
on the day appointed either in person or vakeel.

In cases of breach of the peace or other misdemeanor complaint
having in the first instance been made to the Provincial
ADawlet, a summons shall issue to the Commercial Resident
with a copy of the complaint at large who shall compel an
appearance on the day appointed either by vakeel or in person,
and on the mean time shall transmit all the
information he is possessed of on the subject, with his remarks,
to the Provincial Courts of Adawlet.

Native Collectors, whether Zemindars, Farmers, or
Agents, having of course much authority in the districts
wherein they are placed, are not on that account to
behave with disrespect to the Company's Commercial
Servants
