their business, and have other ill consequences, nor are they
to act as if there was any just opposition between the department
of Revenue & Commerce

The Commercial Resident, or his assistant, shall be at liberty
to summon any Weavers or Manufacturers to sent
into any districts when Cloths are fabricated in order to
know from themselves whether they are willing to engage
for any part of the Company's investment and this without
let or interruption from the or other renter
or proprietor of the lands which such people inhabit.
Any , Farmer 7, or proprietor of Lands refusing
admission to the Commercial Department, or using
threats, menaces, or punishment, to deter Manufactures
from accepting the Company's advances, shall on conviction
before the Revenue Collectors of the District of a Render,
be liable to loose his Farms if a Salookdar be liable to fine
or punishment.

And in order to prevent disputes between the Agent of
the English East India Company and individuals, especially
with the Agent or Gomastaks of the French,
Dutch or Danish Companies, it is hereby ordered that
no Weaver, while employed in the manufacture of the
public investment, shall accept of advances from any
other person whomsoever until he shall have finished
the Cloths previously contracted to be delivered to the
Company, and have been refused a further advance
from the Company's Agents, at the rates and according
to the quality of the assortments which he has been accustomed
to Manufacture.

And for the better ascertaining the numbers of Weavers in
each district in the Company's employ as well as the
nature and extent of their respective engagements
