Third Set these I found at... on my
way to Calcutta, at a Member of the Revenue Board
and wrote hasty notes on the margin.

This is the third set of Weavers Regulations
The list ordered to be given in by the Comm. Agents is an
idle form & not attended to by themselves, besides the
Judge could not admit it as Evidence of the Weavers
service: moreover if one man has separate looms the
mere insertion of his name should not preclude
engagement for cloth with several parties.

The Investment is now diminished and therefore the
Company need not apprehend a deficiency but
all these are limited paltry considerations —

There is but one simple mode to give a specific Commn.
to the commerce. Servant — at present if he sends Cloths
below the standard he is abused then he urges
the interruption of free merchants the rascality
of Weavers and obtains an illegal power of coercion
which throws the Trade out of its advantageous regular
Channel-Contracts are bad as the Contractors
are perpetually changing and underbidding.

The Foreign Factories use force and urge that as a
Company they only copy our Company —

The only objection tot he Court, unqualified intermediation
and redress of both parties is the delay, to
obviate which as the Causes are all , the
Register might be ordered to enter upon these
Causes instanter & an appeal from him to the judge.
