7. Mixture: viz: of fluid masses with powders or mass
of small sized bodies.- By
7. Mixtures. By the same means may this
process be accelerated and in some instances with
the advantage of an increased degree of uniformity
and compactness given to the compound mixt mass.

Thus for example the operation of mashing as it is called
or mixing malt or grain with water for the
purpose of brewing may be rendered comparatively
instantaneous.

So for example also the mixture of water with chalk with oil for
glaziers putty,that of powders with oils for making
glaziers putty, paints and drying oils the mixture
of lime, or plaister of paris, and terras and with sand
water and sand or terras or other powders, for
making mortar, stucco or other mortar-like
cements: and and the mixture of the water with ingredients of
porcelain and other with water as also with:
the ingredients materials of paper and papier machée: the mixture
that of oils with different powders with oils for the making of
chal glaziers putty, paints and drying oils. and
the mixture of the preservative ingredients with the
substances to be preserved in the potting of meat
fish or other provisions.
