2x3 A set of Docks to admitt of the interchange
of vessels without interruption require an equal
number of Jetties of what is equivalent, with one
over. The existing plan, old and new docks in works
included, admitts of the interchange at thatthe utmost in
respect of three only out of its six docks, for want
of a correspondent and sufficient number of Jetties.
two out of the four being by one means or another
rendered non-effective, and the Basin in its present state not being capable
of supplying the place of more than one.
The original plan exhibited this deficiency: the
new plan, now going on, does nothing does nothing to correct it neither does
anything to correct it, nor admitts of its being
corrected.
