Queries and other Hints relative to the Sketch of a General
Inclosure Bill.

Copy read & delivered to
Sir. J. Sinclair into
his House 10 Feb.y

1796. J.B.

1. Are the words of the Sketch crammed to extend to all the
cases where cultivation (meaning the most advantageous
mode of cultivation) is prejudiced by intercommunity
of rights in relation to the same land?

2. If not, does not the national species of national benefit which
constitutes the end of in view require the giving to the
scope of the Bill the degree of extension above mentioned?
—unless it be in as far the extending there
in as are exceptions may happen to be suggested
in this or that instance in particular instances by the danger and a degree by the apprehension of one of
of opposition as might endanger the defeating or retarding
the establishment of the measure.

3. At any rate can there be any objection to the
giving the measure such as degree of extent as to
embrace whatever cases have already been provided for by particular
Bills?

4. For the purpose of rendering the meaaure as
commensurate as possible to its object might it not
be of use to employ somebody to read over the whole
collection of particular Bills from beginning to end devouring
digesting under heads the several species of inconvenient
tenure to which the remedy has initiallyalready been
actually applied? Enormouse Vast as the number of these Bills
the task would not be so laborious as at first mention might
appear, since a glance at the marginal contents would be sufficient for the purpose.

Some hundreds, scores, if not, it is supposed, might be glanced over & noted for the purpose
in the compass of a day.
