Prize

1. General and necessary intimations concerning the encouragement
provided for Seamen in the Kings Service.

Of the rewards provided for the encouragement of Seamen engaged in the
Sect. General & necessary intimation service some are standing
and regular, others occasional, depending on the success attendant
on their own personal exertions under favour of occasional opportunities.

Art 1. The Sources of or kinds of occasional remuneration herein provided for the encouragement
of the Defenders of their country are as follows viz.
Prize money being the Entire Proceeds of vessels captured in the capturing of which they
borne a part. 2. Salvage money – consisting of A share in the value of
vessels recaptured after capture captured by the enemy, and recaptured by
them: and 3. Head money, being money granted
in the way of bounty at so much per head for every
person of a certain description existing on board an enemies
ship immediately before capture or destruction captured or destroy. 4. Seizure money
consisting of

Art. 2. The persons to whose use this particular Cash is
destined, are Seamen regularly entered and permanently belonging
to the Kings service.

Art. 3. The persons with whom they will at all times
have to share are 1. their own Officers and Flag Officers 3. Marines. 4. Officers of Marines. 5. Soldiers. 6. Soldiers
Officers. 7. Privateer's Men.

Art. 4. The persons with whom according to certain
evidences they may have to share are 1. Soldiers. 2.
Set Officers of Soldiers. 3. Commanders and Crews of paid armed
Vessels in the Kings Service. 4. Privateer's men Commanders and Crews of
Privateers.

Art. 5. The share which each of the persons here in
question will have to receive out of the several remuneration
funds in question hereinafter are marked out particularized, in Sect. .

Art. 6. The persons at whose cost charge the several masses of remuneration hereby
provided are administered are 1. In case of head money
public money placed by Parliament at his Majesty's disposal for that purpose.
2. In case of salvage money the property recaptured. 3. In
case of prize money,

either of the enemy, or
