Prize Seaman's Law

References to other portions of law in which, in the character of parties favoured Seamen are
. but unless in general eventually and by accident without need of action on their part.

The following are the portions of law of the existence of
which it may be of use to the class of persons here in question, viz. Seamen
to receive have intimation in general be approved,
therefore to that end to receive intimation in general terms
accompanied with reference to the Statutes Acts in which the
provisions in question may be seen at large.

2. Every In a certain case described in the Prize Agents
law the §., every Seaman &c entitled to a
share in any Prize is entitled to a vote in the choice
of an Agent or Agents for the getting in the prize
money payable in respect of it: In viz in of respect of
such share of the proceeds as comes to be divided among persons
in the class to which Act he belongs.

In the same line Act he may see the care taken to secure
his interest against negligence and rapacity
on the part of such his Agents and to secure to him
whatsoever information may be necessary to enable him to
receive whatsoever may be his due.

In §. 58, lines power is given to him the
document called a Letter of Attorney by which the Agent
for the prize in which he is interested having been required to (See §. ) to be entered in a Register book in Greenwich
Hospital, power is given to him to inspect such
book at any time, without paying for it.

In § 88, the Clerk of the Cheque in Greenwich Hospital
being required to keep a Book or set of Books for the
purpose of shewing what the prizes the Accounts of relative to which
have been transmitted to that Hospital, during Office
time and Office days every Seaman is entitled to a
freely to inspect those all such books without paying anything
for so doing.
