Analysis of the Prize Act 45. G.3.
Table 1. Seaman's &c Law.

Section 1. After recital of hostilities per and
Orders of Council and Proclamations, what this Section
does is to repeal the last preceding Prize Act: viz.
43. G.3. c.160, saving certain exceptions.

Sect. 2. In this Section mention is made 1. of
the of persons or persons by to whom the encouragement is
received administered by the Act, viz. 1. Flag Officers. 2. Commanders.
3. Other Officers. 4. Seamen. 5. Marines. 6. Soldiers on board a Vessel
of War in his Majesty's pay".

2. Of the sort of the service of encouragement marked
out by it viz. Ships, Vessels, Goods and Merchandize described
in i Orders of Council viz
those of the 17 Aug. 1803
and 16 Jany 1805.

3. Of one of the operations constitutive of the service in consideration
of which the encouragement spoken of in this Section is thus bestowed.

4. Of one of the conditions precedent by the receipt
of the matter of encouragement in the Section spoken of,
viz. condemnation by an Admiralty or Vice Admiralty judicatory.

5. Of of the operations the proportions in which
the matter of encouragement is to be divided among the
co-operators in the service: viz. such as were settled
by Proclamation of July 1803 Proclamations says
the Act here: though
but one is mentioned,
but immediately after
viz. in case of paid armed
Ships do of 31 Jan 1805

6. Of another groupe of persons by to whom the encouragement
is administered by the Act viz. the same group

☞ Quere are not the Commanders, Officers, Seamen,
Marines or Soldiers on board his Majesty's paid
armed Ships, are they not on board Ships in his
Majesty's pay?
