3. Howsoever full it were of misrepresentation of this
or any other kind the abstract happened to be, if by
any such improvement in the order it happened method as suppose it were to happen to it
to present itself in the character of an useful substitute
it would in proportion obtain circulation
and be received as such: and thus the better executed
the copy were in every thing but its likeness
to the original the greater the currency it would obtain
in the character of an advantageous substitute to
the original, and the greater wider the extent to which the
errors it would seem with would be propagated and
proportionate deception produced. But the more
extensive the acceptance thus given to the inadequate
and deceptitious remedy, the better satisfied more
generally men would be disposed general would be the disposition among the persons concerned, to acquiescence to set down with
but up complaint under the imperfections of the original, and to remain deprived of the only
real remedy what the viz. a set of Statutes exhibiting the same matter upon
a rational plan which the nature of the case
admitts of.
The only remedy which the nature of the case admitts
of consists in the substitution of the language stile of common
sense and common honesty to the language stile at present
in use. But the language stile at present in use is the stile
created and preserved by men of law for the advancement
of their own particular and sinister interest to the successive prejudice
of that of every other set of men in the community. This advantage
if there can be no rational expectation of seeing
them give up, so long as the rest of the community will
submitt to be that
oppressed and fleeced
and duped.
