Prize Acts 1805 & 1809

3. Next comes a clause by which where a man's name
is by "accident or default" omitted out of the a Prize List
the Navy Board are empowered to certify the omission
to G the Directors of Greenwich Hospital, and the Directors
thereupon required to cause the man to be paid viz.
out of the fund there mentioned.

4. For the recovery of the amount from viz. from the
Agent to whose profit the omission has all the while been
, power given to the Treasurer of the Hospital
to maintain against such Agent such any action
or such that the man himself, but for the satisfaction
so administered to him might have maintained.

5. Lastly comes a provision for the case in which
the cause of the omission on of the part of the Agent
should have been the has a corresponding omission in the
Prize list delivered to him by a from the Commander of the
capturing ship to which the man belongs.

In this case, if the Commander so it be that
The Agent has in his hands money Prize or Bounty
money belonging to such Commander, (it should have been added or money belonging to him on any other account) he is empowered
to stop it: if not to bring an action seek his remedy
by action, by action against the Commander himself
if alive, or if dead, against his Executors or Administrators.
