2. Another The other of these cases is presented by §. 52.
In a case there described power is given to the Judge
at the request of either party, to "order the .... effects to
be , landed and sold by public auction.
Sold? but by whom? and by yes: but by whom is
the money to be received? work is here as usual cut out for
conjecture: the sale is to be "under the care and custody
"of the proper Officers of the Customs, and under
"the direction and inspection of such persons as shall
"be appointed by the claimants and captors; and the" "monies" (by whom received by conjecture answer) "the monies
"arising from the sale" shall .... "shall are to "be brought
"into Court, and by the Register, Deputy Register or Deputy
"Registers of the said Court" (when they are paid of receiving
and pocketing the interest) be deposited in the Bank of England
or a public securities for the benefit of the persons having
right, in manner thereupon mentioned.

The case in which this power is given to the
Judge is that where there is "difficulty or sufficient
"objection to the giving or taking security".
