2. Registra Section 56. Registration continued. In the
Sect. 54 the obligation of tendering applying to have his
instrument of appointment registered having thus been being imposed on
the Prize Agent his correspondent obligations are by the first former
part of this 56th Section, imposed on the Registrar: who
by the bye is here termed Register: the book and
the keeper of it confounded under the same name, and thus rendered indistingui incapable of being
distinctly designated.

One is, that of receiving the from each Agent his
Letter instrument of appointment his Letter of Power of Attorney as aforesaid, and making
in relation to it an entry into a book to be "kept for
that purpose only".

The other is – that of making transmitting, by periodical transmission
transcripts of all such Letters of Attorney to
Greenwich Hospital.

Penalty for neglect or refusal £500.

In the middle of this Section viz from lines 12 to 21 inclusive is inserted a description
or designation of the heads under by which the mass of information
sought by such registration is to be entered. These in the order in which they are mentioned in the Act are

1. "Day of delivery" – i.e. day when the instrument of appointment
was deli bythe Agent delivered to the Registrar.

2. Day of entry: i.e. day when of the information thus communicated
to the Registrar was entered an entry was made in the Register.

3. Book Date of the instrument of appointment.

4. Agent – his names and abode.

5. Vessel made prize of or destroyed, i.e. out in respect of which the
prize money or head money or interest money or head money, is due.

6. Vessel or Vessels by which the service was performed.

7. Date (i.e. day) of condemnation, if performed.

8. Date of Appeal in consequence, if any interposed.

N.B. In this Section the Registrars spoken of are to a the
Register or Registers of his Majesty's High Court of Admiralty
and of all such other Courts of Admiralty in his Majesty's dominions. The times for transmission
are in both instances
26 Decr and
25 June, or within
40 days thereafter.
