These two sections of the Act of 1809 §. 56 and 58, thus entangled
with one another and with the 54th are taken for the
among those which receive the benefit of the amendments
furnished by the Mr Rose's amending Act of the 1809: – and
now the confusion is in a considerably degree thickened and enriched.

The effect In substance the object of them appears
to have been to encrease the number of the periodical
times of transmission appointed for transmission of the
copies of the instruments documents in question by which Prize Agents are appointed
to four in a year and in the case of where the scene of registration a Vice Admiralty Judicatory for the description of the
latitude allowed in that respect to substitute a
length of time certain determinate and receivable viz. in the three months reckoning
from those quarter days respectively, a point of time certain determinate but
viz variation viz the sinking of the first ship that sails
for Great Britain. Ireland not mentioned

But the confused structure disposition of the Section in the former
Act being along with the Sections themselves carefully preserved.

But in the one posterior Act instead of being made to give place to
both of them together to an amended edition, the two
Sections in the anterior Act being carefully preserved, and
the confused disposition of the materials carefully copied
and repeated, the picture presented by the results taken
together is curious enough.

By In the difference which made by local distance between the
case of the High Admiralty Court in London and the Vice
Admiralty Courts scattered over the surface of the globe, by in the
different numbers of times appointed for transmission – by the
different modes of describing the same for transmission, and by
the remembrance or oblivion of the right of inspection meant proposed to
be secured to seamen and others interested – in all these circumstances
taken together
may be seen the services
of the confusion that ensues.
