other parts of the Act (of the amending Act) has a Deputy.
Yes answer I so he may think he has, and so
at the time and place in question he may really have. But forasmuch as
all men are mortal, and some mean return from the East
Indies, what in any such instance may also happen have place is that at the time in
question there shall be no such deputy: and in that
case the voyage to from the East Indies must absolutely be performed,
and performed within the month allotted for that
purpose.
What is more a Dep person already stationed
and constantly resident in that distant part quarter of the globe
will can be not, without at least some be brought within be
preview of the this clause Act. Yes; if the words were "or
such person or persons as he shall" have appointed and
deputed to receive the same: – but in fact the words are
"such person .... as he shall appoint and depute to receive
"the same". The consequence is that he proceed according to
the Act in the first place the Treasurer is to receive information
that at Bombay lies so much money if he
will send a person thither of appoint or depute a person there to
receive it, and then it is that to this deputy the
money is to be paid: so that here instead of an East
India voyage to be performed in a month are two East
India Voyages viz a Voyage home and a Voyage out
which must be absolutely performed both of them the one after
another the other or that same time.
