Prize Acts
In this Section the draughtsman crowds joins together
his cases which – with reference to the end in view stand
in relation to one another at an infinite distance: the
case where the condemnation Court judicatory in which the condemnation
is sought for is the High Court stationed in
London, and the case where it is the some Vice Admiralty
Court stationed God knows where. perhaps at the antipodes.
To Let us begin with the case of the High Court: let us
to this most simple of the two cases apply the regulations established
in this clause.
1. An Into the Registrar's Office in this Court By the Agent one a detailed account is by the Agent to
be delivered as stating the viz. an account of the Sales of
the prize, verified upon oath, and accompanied with attested copies of all vouchers required
by the Court.
2. Thereupon "all parties interested" ... are to have
liberty therein shall have liberty" (says the Act) "to object
to the charges and articles therein contained, and
the said Court shall confirm or disallow the Accounts
upon hearing the objections, and shall make such further
order touching the said Accounts, and the distribution
of the proceeds, as the case may require": and
thereupon come the penalties with powers for enforcing
compliance.
