Act of 1805. Sect. 88. In this section the supposition Accounts
is The case upon which this Section operates is that
in which in pursuance of §. 80, the undistributed residence
of the Prize money, together with the Account of receipts
and disbursements that have had place in respect of it
are lodged in the hands of the Greenwich Treasurer of Greenwich Hospital.
Of the prizes there accounted for it provides
that "Acts" ... "shall be transmitted six times in every
year from the Office of Clerk of the Cheque at Greenw
the Hospital to the several persons appointed by the
Treasurer to receive applications and claims for prize
and bounty money. Good: and to what end? – That
those lists may "be open to inspection" ... to any all persons
desirous of it, viz. every day Sunday excepted (i.e.
all days in the year Sundays excepted) between
10 and 4: and for such inspection nothing is to be paid.

Good in point of intent design: but in point of execution
not altogether so explicit nor therefore so efficient as could
have been wished.

1. Six times of the in every year? Good Yes: but what in what
six days? By transmissions made in the last six days in each year spe a requisition
thus worded would be complied with.

2. Persons appointed by the Treasurer to receive those applications?
Who are they? I mean not who are
the individuals but of what description of what sort are
they to be what if any is their official name?
