3 Jany 1811
Prize 1805 1809: 1805 §. 95.

8. By somebody (be not from in the probably somebody who is not mentioned, but probably what
is intended is that it should be somebody
belonging to the Navy Office) the documents instruments in question are then to
be "returned to the said Clerk of the Cheque..." or else to "his
"Chief Clerk": who, though on the occasion of the transmission or reference he
who not mentioned, is, on the occasion of the return,
now for the first time mentioned.

9. "If" (by somebody again) "such service shall be found
"to correspond with the certificates produced and
"transmitted, is statement made by the "person .... claiming such prize or bounty monies" claimant

10. The "Chief Clerk" alone "shall" or perhaps either he or his principal
may "certify the same" meaning probably
the judge by from reason in despite of grammar
such correspondence though by the rules of grammar
no such conclusion would be warranted
"to the
"said Treasurer" .... "or" else to "his Deputy", who,
as if to keep company with the Chief Clerk (the
Clerk of the Cheque is now for the first time in this Section mentioned – By the Deputy
now in question is
meant (it is to be
presumed) not the
Deputy stationed
at the Hospital
not the sort of commissioned
deputy with
whom in the case here
in question the at the
place in question,
viz. a Post or Place
which though within the United Kingdom
is not Greenwich Hospital itself
but a place more
or less distant from
it.

11. Thereupon the "The approbation of one or more
"of the Directors of the said Hospital" is now to be
obtained.

12. This approbation obtained, "The said Treasurer
.... or his Deputy" is to "send" a Remittance Bill
on
(to somebody or other) "a Remittance Bill ....
"for the amount, in the manner and form hereinafter"
somewhere or other) mentioned were (says the Act, that is in some
one or more of the remaining 28 Sections) "mentioned".

13. "Or" he "shall pay or remit the same
"in such other manner as the said Treasurer ....
"or his Deputy, with such approbation as aforesaid
"shall from time to time judge more expedient.

By the phrase from time to time it appears that
what the pen was writing it the thoughts were wandering
from the case of an individual instance of payment, to the
case of a fresh rule to
be established relative
to all future individual
payments of the same
kind.
