The Treasurer, Secretary, or Clerk of the Cheque
all these three official persons up indiscriminately appointed
as those to any of whom up may be addressed applications
which ought for the receipt of which some one ought
to be pitched set against.
The case of a claimant i.e. person entitled
confounded with the case of one applicant
The case of a an applicant resident
in the neighbourhood of the central seat of business station cofounded
with the case of one living resident at a distance.
After the mention of a single claimant The case of a multitude of claimants most
uselessly stuck on every succeeding occasion on
which any such person as by the name of the sort of person called a claimant is .
The one sort of Deputy Treasurers Deputy who acts as such at the
central seat of business confounded (lines 29 and 5)
with the perfectly different sort of Deputy who
with that host of deputies who are stationed abroad
at home in Great Britain in the Outposts and abroad at the respective seats
of the several Vice Admiralty Courts.
By all these channels of confusion taken together the
mind of the legislator has bewildered itself to the degree
which has been seen, and with the effect of producing
that immense load of de practical and most severely
and extensively felt inconveniences, in the shape of
delay and vexation, which must now be manifest
the existence of which can not surely now be matter of doubt.
