§. 97
6. The person "by" whom they are to be payable is ....
"according to the appointment of such Bills" .... any
one of the sorts of official persons following, viz.
1. the Receiver General of the Land tax for the County
&c .... "near which such person" (Claimant) "shall
happen to reside .... 2. the Collectors of the Customs for
"any such Port" &c. 3. near which &c 3. "the Collector of
"Excise for any Collection" near which &c
7. These Bills, being numbered and dated, shall
"be signed" (it is said) "by the .... Treasurer or his deputy".
8. They are to be "attested by the Clerk of the Cheque"
".... or his Chief Clerk".
9. They are to "be written or printed according to the Form ....
thereupon "following".
10. Or else according to "such other Form as
the Treasurer ... shall from time to time deem more
convenient and proper.
N.B. Under In the Section last foregoing, when
provision was made for remitting employing in
the remittance of the money in question to the claimant
in question in any manner mode other than by a pair
of Remittance Bills as were described, the person
to whom the option was given was not as here the
Treasurer and he alone, but either the Treasurer or
his Deputy, but though in neither case without the otherwise than with such approbation
"as aforesaid" meaning the approbation (as
per §. 95 "the approbation of one or more of the directors".
