Ch. Business of Chelsea Hospital.
§. 1. Preliminary observations

Of the portion mass of law by which business is formed
for Chelsea Hospital, the general principle is that
whatsoever is done the functions performed by the Greenwich Hospital for in relation to the benefit
of Mariners Seamen shall by be done performed by Chelsea Hospital
be performed for in relation to the benefit of landsmen Soldiers: except
in so far as by any difference either in respecting the condition situation of the
principals or respecting the situation of the members of
the public establishment in their character of trustees to
this purpose any demand for a correspondent difference
either in substance purport or in power may be seen to be created have place.

Here then may be seen we have possess an apt andinstructive subject matter,
in which to exemplify for the exemplification of two of the leading rules and
principles of legislative penmanship: viz. and as to the
purport, cadem ratio, cadem lex; as to the tenor, cadem
natura, cadem nomenclatura.
