Carrying itself over this part of the consolidating Act of 1805
the eye of the Right Honourable legislator descried discovered in
this part likewise a demand for amendments.
It has accordingly furnished him with matter for
no fewer than ten Sections in his this amending Act.
viz. §. 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22; 25, 26, 27.
The same sort of tenderness however which has been seen
manifest manifesting itself towards the so many other parts of the amended
Act, has may be seen extending itself to this. Wounded
not killed, it remains and plaistered not repealed,
wounded not killed, be it is left reduced by him in to a
state between life and death, the exercise carcase
being left to breeding doubts like maggots, the carcase being left
to breed the that tormenting kind of maggots which, in
the Court of Chancery are have been seen in such numbers
crawling over mens properties under the name of doubts.
