Rudiments
Principles applying to the matter of the several
Codes therein composed.
Principles and corresponding Ends, Rules
and Axioms. Axioms of mental pathology.
Should use the Axioms the as being the ground
of every thing that is done, occupy the first place?
Sole proper all-comprehensive end of government,
the greatest happiness of the whole community, governors
and governed together

Axioms, numerous rules or principles applying
to a Penal branch of the Pannomion
Remedy in all its shapes is an instrument having for
its use the exclusion of wrong in its several shapes: or say
the exclusion of maleficence in all its several shapes
Of remedies in every shape the application made
is attached with and productive of burthen.
The application of remedy, instead of excluding
wrong is productive of wrong, if and so far as it is productive
of burthen outweighing, preponderant in the
benefit.
Gratification of antipathy from whatsoever source it flows
this is not of itself afford a justification for the application of remedy
in any shape for the that is to say to the suppression or
prevention of any act by which the antipathy has been produced
and exacted
Sources of antipathy without evil produced in any other shape, or
difference in point of opinion: 2. difference in point of tastes.
