The building consists of a dodecagonal circular part 140 feet
in diameter, & five radial wings buildings, each of them 105 feet
long 30 feet broad; a wing as buttresses to support
the dodecagonal central part of the building
.

At the very centre 3ft 6in feet in diameter at the
center of the building is appropriated as a chamber
from the top to the bottom of the building through
which the Inspector passes to view the highest & lowest
floors of the building.

Round this chamber are annular apartments
6 of them in height included, the basements & attic stories,
feet from the outer diameter of which ring is thirty
twenty 8 feet in diameter. The basement is appropriated
for heating stoves, conveyance of water &c, the next
above as a clerks Office, above this the principal
inspection room, the other floors for other uses which
will at the same time allow of the occasional inspection
from there.

Round these annular apartments is an annular
space
a ring ten feet in diameter, in which there are no
other
are constructed staircases, & connecting galleries
excepting the up to within two stories of the top
which the upper stories are appropriated as infirmaries.
Here with these annular post terminates this big

Without this space is another ring of that
space is
divided into twelve radial parts, in which
are three whole floors extending from the interior
to the exterior part of this ring, & one half
floor between each at the outer side of the ring.
Each radial part is 42 feet from the inside to the
outside of the ring.

These radial apartments terminate the dodecagonal
part of the building; the total diameter of which
outside dimensions is 140 feet.

The five wings radial buildings are connected with five of the sides of the dodecagonal
part, leaving a side of it between each wing; the sixth
