Art. 21. And To It will be found, on a second
glance, that iin this article there is nothing
said about the Courts giving any orders except
for the governor's appearing and answering to
interrogations. Mr Bentham is willing to
go father than Mr Ford requires, and if
Mr Ford approves of it, to condition the Bond
for the surrendering of the office in case of an order
to that effect given by the Court for misbehaviour
in the execution of it. They will by the meaning give them indirectly
appearing in consequence of the examination
therefore the power of not compelling his submission
to any regulations which they may deem necessary
for the prevention of abuses.
As to the
giving them the such power in express terms he
doubts whether there may be not be some
danger to inviting them to transfer with the
economy of a vast and various manufactory
be in the inviting men in another sphere a remote
and elevated sphere to tamper with it upon
the ground of this or that plausible suggestion
which they may want time and opportunity to
mature.
