insert
..... with an allowance annext to the said office of not less than
£6,000 a year here insert [as also of £6 a year per head for every
convict of the said thousand so delivered to him as aforesaid
to continue during the of continuance of such convict
under his charge; the said several allowances to be paid]
quarterly clear of all taxes fees gratuities and other deductions
whatsoever and with interest in case of arrear as
aforesaid

Art. 3 – omitt the words herein erased
on the [same] terms of £12 a year per head [as the
herein abovementioned original number of 1000] with the
addition of only £18 a head
