The disappointments Mr B. has sustained in the course of the business and no fresh
addition. The deduction of the £19,000 at the expence of
his representatives was a recent after thought on the part of
one Member of Administration, in the breach of terms which were standing
in black & white and which were admitted to have been acceded
to by another others Members of Administration two years before –. End of the Supplemental Observations.
Answer to Mr Soll. Genls Query
Art 4 §. 9. The act 24. Geo. 3. was a temporary act: it was
continued by 28. Geo. 3. and it is likened to be still in force c. 24. to the Session of 1794: and it is believed
by subsequent continuations to have been received a further continuation in that year: but the answer can not be nade
positive at the moment for want of the Statutes of that year. Should the
a reference to the continuation be deemed necessary, Mr Sollr
Genl. is humbly requested to make the requisite insertion in the
proper mode: if not necessary he will be pleased to cancel
the query. It is apprehended Mr B. (at a distance from the all authorities)
humbly apprehends that it is not necessary for that it is immaterial to the purpose in question whether the
Act of the 24 G. 3 be in force or no. The Act of the 34th referred
to it only for the description of certain powers which by its own authority it (the Act of 34th) meant to give: that description
stands equally clear and equally capable of answering the purpose
whether the act referred to remained in force, or had ceased to be in
force
