On the occasion of that

In the whole complexion of this business
& in the part formed of it by this examination
in particular some curious enough incidents took
place – but what I am apprehensive of is
that on the present occasion these must be
passed over: the time that wd be necessary
for the hunting out of the documents not
being capable of being afforded consistently
with my time of life the disproportionate
load of the burthens I have
on my shoulders & the enfeebled condition
of those senses on which the tax
necessary to the search wd have to
be imposed. The task of completion
must I fear be left to those
who come after me.
