My long term project involves creating a public handwriting collection and wiki so that American handwriting of all times and of all people can be saved and studied. Because handwriting is no longer being taught in many schools in the United States, there is a unique opportunity to capture this moment and to watch the changes that occur and to compare the letterforms, spellings, and language with what has come before.
Much of my personal collection will go online in the summer of 2023 on archive.org as Kaminski Handwriting and Penmanship Collection.
Almost all of my collection, roughly 2000 books, manuscripts, and pieces of ephemera have been gifted to libraries and institutions in New York, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania.
